LUND CENTRAL STATION
A new central station for the city of Lund, Sweden. The project is now on to the second phase in the competition.
This was a competition i worked on from the start to the final presentation while working for 3XN architects.
Among the pictures I put some of my personal sketch models from the sketching phase. Wanting the station to be more organic with shapes that follows the flow from the platform into the streets.
By the soft corners of our proposal, passengers are safely lead from A to B. The proposal is logical, humble and host shopping facilities, restaurants, fitness, spa, hotel and offices. It connects the two sides of the city and opens up for life around the station building. Though the station has a scale of 10.000 square meters, it still respects its surroundings in a humble way.
